Install live chat with one snippet

The ChatDix widget is a script you paste on the website you connected as a project. Appearance lives in the app. Visitors chat in the browser. Agents answer in the inbox.

Install

Four steps from empty site to a live conversation

The widget is a script, not a plugin marketplace. Appearance lives in ChatDix so you never fork CSS to keep the brand.

Create a workspace and a project

Sign up, then add a project with the public URL of the store, docs, or marketing domain. Each project has its own snippet so two brands never share a widget. Free includes one site.

Copy the snippet

Open the project and copy the install script. Place it once before </body>. Single-page apps should mount it on the root layout, not on one route only.

Style it in ChatDix

Header color, launcher, bubbles, fonts, panel size, and welcome copy are workspace settings. Refresh the site to confirm. Do not fork the script.

Confirm a test chat

Open the site in a private window. Send a message. In ChatDix, the inbox should show an unassigned (or auto-assigned) conversation and the visitor list should show your session. If messages fail, the API URL in the snippet must be reachable from the browser.

What visitors experience

A launcher, a panel, typing and read state if you enabled them, and file attachments if the workspace allows them. They do not create an account. If they share an email, it can attach to a contact for the next visit.
